Sutter Rehabilitation Institute

The Acute Rehabilitation Center at Sutter Roseville Medical Center opened in December of 2008 as the Sutter Rehabilitation Institute. Unger completed the 110,000 square foot SRI, along with expansion and upgrades to the existing hospital central utilities plant and site infrastructure, with an accelerated construction schedule. The SRI is the region’s only standalone facility dedicated exclusively to rehabilitation, initially licensed with 40 beds, and the capacity to expand to 107 beds. The SRI is a state of the art facility housing three main units to care for the diverse needs of patients: The Brain Injury Unit, General Rehabilitation Unit, and Spinal Cord Unit. The brain injury unit has 10 private rooms within a secured area and separate dining and therapy areas for patients with cognitive impairments. The General Rehabilitation Unit is providing care and treatment to patients who are working to overcome limitations due to stroke, neurological or orthopedic conditions. The Spinal Cord Unit cares for patients who are impaired by quadriplegia and paraplegia.
