Buhler Building Oncology
The Oncology remodel project was the remodel of 13,533 sf on the third floor of a seven story building including architectural barrier removal in existing public toilets. The project was broken down into two major phases to allow the end user to function while construction was on going. This required the construction team to construct infection control barriers with a heap filtration system to maintain negative air. Upon the completion of Phase 1, the end users were relocated to the completed section of the building with temporary reception counters installed to allow them to continue to see patients. Phase 2 infection control barriers were constructed utilizing a portion of existing wall which toward the end of Phase 2 had to be dismantled to allow a new architectural ceiling to pass over the top of the wall and continue into another section of the construction area. The project was completed on time with minimum disruptions to staff and patients.
