Working Together – Unger Receives High Praise from Sutter Amador Hospital

“I transferred to this team as the construction project was already underway. As the new director I was truly welcomed by the Unger team. I had a number of questions and concerns as you can only imagine. Unger team members regardless of rank or position were always helpful. So helpful in fact that patients, visitors and staff regularly commented on how polite and accommodating the construction team members were. This would include holding doors for patients that had mobility challenges and walking patients to the “new” location for the services they were formerly familiar with. Unger team members acted as an extension of the hospital staff when it came to way finding. Safety awareness for the patients, staff and the construction workers was second to none. Communication and team work amongst the subcontractor community to the charge nurses and facilities engineers was good as I have seen. When the project wrapped up I realized I missed them. When is the last time an emergency room director said that about a construction team? I’ve been involved in a number of construction projects throughout my career and this was the best I’ve seen”.
