AGC Safety Award - Palm Springs CA 2013

posted on July 12th, 2013

Unger Construction Co. received a second–place award in the prestigious AGC of America Construction Safety Excellence competition at the 2013 national conference in Palm Springs.  The award, for the under – 250,000 work hour category was the culmination of an exhaustive qualification and presentation process that started last year with our winning first place in the AGC of California competition in the same category.  The final step was a rigorous critical interview before an expert panel where Mike Mencarini and Safety Director, Steve Hooper presented our program and safety philosophy.

This award is the result of a company-wide commitment to spreading our culture of safety to all of our jobsites, subcontractors and clients in much the same way we collaborate in all other aspects of our work.   Special kudos are due to our Safety Department and Safety Committee for leading us in this effort.
